Extraction of Keyframe of Motion Capture Data Based on Layered Curve Simplification

This paper presents a keyframe extraction method.Angles between bones are introduced as motion's features,and keyframe candidates can be found based on them.Then,the layered curve simplification algorithm will be used to refine those candidates and the keyframe collection can be gained.In addition,an adaptive algorithm parameter is employed to meet different requirements for compression.The experiments demonstrate that the proposed method can not only compress and summarize the motion capture data efficiently,but also keep the consistency of keyframe collections between two sequences of similar motion capture data.
