A Skeletonisation Algorithm for Cross-Regions of Ribbon-Like Images

  • An algorithm is proposed to address the problem of computing skeleton of ribbonlike images with cross-regions.It is based on the global expression model of images.Under geometric approximation conditions,each cross-region can be approximated by a triangle,parallelogram, trapezoid or sector and so on,so its skeleton is easy to be computed.This algorithm takes full advantage of the topology information of images,so little time is spent and the effect is good.
