RESEARCH ON THE SUPPORTED TECHNIQUES FOR INTELLIGENT DESIGN OF INJECTION MOLDED PART UNDER CONCURRENT ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
Injection molded part design is the first step and one of the most important key factors in injection mold design and manufacturing system.The following mold design and the forming process parameter selection are greatly affected by the complete and proper product information in the designed injection molded part model.In order to realize a new generation system of injection mold,which must be efficient and powerful,the design philosophy of concurrent engineering should be used.In this paper,the Feature-based ( including routine features and surface features) product modeling system is used to design injection molded part.A hybrid system,which combines the advantages of artificial neural network and expert system,is used to offer design decision.A CAE system ——C-MOLD is used to optimize the designed part.Using these three supporting techniques,the intelligent design for injection mold can be achieved.
