Fabric Simulation Based on Mechanics of Particle System

  • Fabric is represented as a particle system undergoing various internal and external mechanical constraints such as structural integrity,bending and shearing forces,etc.A collision algorithm in terms of the classical theory of rigid body colliding is employed to simulate the dynamic draping behavior of fabric.Approaches of accomplishing numerical integration in solving the differential equations are discussed.Acceptable visual results are produced on PC in 3 to 10 minutes.
