Advance in Research on Mobile Graphics Technologies

Mobile graphics is a newly emerged research field as an inter-discipline of embedded system,computer graphics and mobile communication.In the paper,the characteristics of mobile graphics researches are analyzed.The research directions are divided into three layers,platform,rendering and network,and the key techniques of mobile graphics are summarized.Subsequently,state-of-the-art researches are comprehensively reviewed from the three aspects as indicated.Typical applications of mobile graphics and the related techniques are investigated.Finally,the issues in the current researches and the promising fields in the future are analyzed.
