Detecting Anchorperson Frame from the News Video Using the Matching of Dominant Color Template

In order to detect the anchorperson frame from the news video, a completely new method, the matching of dominant color template, is proposed in the paper. By the method, firstly the dominant-color template is extracted from the anchorperson frame, and then the computer could automatically detect and mark the anchorperson frame through matching the dominant color of each frame with the template. Compared with the existing detection methods, the proposed method is very easy to design and is able to run completely in real time. The experimental results show that the method is efficient and accurate.
