Grid Workflow Based on D-Petri Net and Dynamic Scheduling

Abstract
The grid workflow based on dynamic modeling and scheduling is presented in this paper. A grid workflow modeling language named D-Petri Net and its analytic techniques are presented. The advantages include the dynamic modeling according to changing grid running environment and dynamic scheduling adapting to the performance of grid system by performance evaluation. Finally, a prototype system implemented on the Globus is introduced. The experiment of genome sequencing based on shotgun algorithm is analyzed and the result is satisfactory.
