Study of Parameterized Dimensioning System Based on Pattern Matching

A new approach to develop parameterized dimensioning system based on pattern matching and logic reasoning is presented．The patterns of dimensioning as dictated by the national standards for mechanical drawings are matched with related functions implemented in AutoCAD．As a result，a parameterized dimensioning system is established with intelligent dimensioning capabilities for generating all kinds of dimensions conforming to the national standards．
