An Algorithm for Automatic Filling of Holes of Point Cloud in Reverse Engineering
In this paper an algorithm is proposed based on the average error and average curvature for filling up hole areas to point clouds. In the algorithm, the hole boundary is computed automatically first; then a continuous surface is constructed over the hole and the points around the hole area is resampled from the continuous surface.
