Tool Path Generation for High-Speed Milling of Pockets

  • Contour-parallel way of cutting is adopted. Sharp turning corners of the tool path are rounded,and the transition from a tool path track to the neighboring one is fulfiled through smooth curves.In such a way,the abrupt change of direction in cutter’s motion is avoided and the cutting performance is improved.
