Global Color Correction for Multi-Projector Tiled Display Wall

  • Color correction is a key step for implementing seamless tiled display wall, and a new algorithm based on parameter estimation and statistic is proposed in this work. The algorithm first selects a parametric curve to match the intensity transfer function (ITF) based on the sampling points, and estimates the parameter curve via some nonlinear optimization method. Then it uses statistic methods to adjust the input of each projector and achieves the visual allowance seamless tiled display wall. In order to examine the feasibility and effectiveness, the proposed algorithm was implemented on a 2×2 and 3×5 tiled display wall. The test results show that our proposed algorithm can achieve better and brighter display effect than the existing algorithms.
