ADAPTIVE SAMPLING OF DIGITIZING FOR THE KNOWN FREE-FORM SURFACE

For the known surface，the adaptive sampling algorithm based on the measure of curvature is presented by means of the concept of the center of gravity．Then the adaptive sampling method for free-form surface is developed．Using this method，the topological rectangular sampling mesh can be generated adaptively，and the minimum number of sampling point can be determined according to the sampling accuracy required．
