SystemC Implementation of A Virtual Prototyping Platform for Embedded System

  • A configurable virtual platform for embedded system prototyping is presented to facilitate concurrent design and co-verification of software and hardware at an early stage.It features typical onchip-bus based SoC architecture and supports multi-layer bus.Being a SystemC transaction level model, this platform enables fast simulation and allows refining to lower level model for implementation,which makes it suitable to prototype almost any embedded system for early hardware/software integration.We applied this platform to modeling IEEE802.11MAC and the whole design is now under final debugging on printed circuit board.
