The design strategy and implementing techniques of CAVE system based on four high performance networked PCs is presented. The implementing techniques include synchronization, true stereo problem and tracking device support etc. The new PC based system has a close or even better performance compared to SGI based CAVE system and it will cut down the system cost by much.
