Research on Techniques of Collaborative Modeling in Workflow

The idea of collaborative modeling in workflow management is presented to promote professional modeling designers working together with experts in each domain to develop customized workflow control systems.A prototype software AWFlow is developed to verify its feasibility, where cards are introduced to represent visually the workflow process.A mixed control architecture supporting both the synchronous and asynchronous modes of collaboration is worked out that greatly enhances the flexibility of cooperation among participating members in the joint team.
