A NoC Router Design Supporting Quality-of-Service

Abstract
The complex applications of SoC make on-chip communication,which has different performance requirements and the interconnection,become the performance bottleneck.We design a network-on-chip router,which supports quality-of-service,providing guaranteed services and best- effort services in parallel.Our router adopts connection-oriented scheme to provide hard end-to-end delay guarantee in fine grained mode for guaranteed services,and adopts connectionless packet- switching mode to support best-effort services communication.It also implements a traffic-balanced adaptive routing algorithm to improve the average communication performance.
