Abstract

It has been observed in the research of product modeling and design process(DP)that the features are the information units in the design. The design is a process of feature transformation and it is more important to represent DP than to represent design results. This paper proposes a feature-based DP model for product modeling.The problems regarding applications, research and implementations and the future research issues are discussed.
