THE ALGORITHM FOR GENERATING TOOL PATH OF ROUGH NC MACHINING IN SCULPTURED SURFACES POCKET
The algorithm of rough machining for the pocket composed of sculptured surfaces is deeply studied in this paper. A rational method for generating planar tool-path used as tool driving template is put forward and the technology of tool-path trimming for island avoidance is given. The algorithm has advantage in aspect of robustness and efficiency, and can be used in mould production.
