THE ALGORITHM FOR GENERATING TOOL PATH OF ROUGH NC MACHINING IN SCULPTURED SURFACES POCKET

  • The algorithm of rough machining for the pocket composed of sculptured surfaces is deeply studied in this paper. A rational method for generating planar tool-path used as tool driving template is put forward and the technology of tool-path trimming for island avoidance is given. The algorithm has advantage in aspect of robustness and efficiency, and can be used in mould production.
