Research on Model of Configuration Management System Based on Object Petri-Net

This paper discusses the description of transformation of configuration items using object Petri-net (OPN). A uniform model of configuration management system is built up to correlate the former with the description of work process. Structure of the configuration management system along with its role and functions in the CASE is analyzed. According to the evolution of configuration items in the database, data flow in the configuration management process is structured in detail. The architecture of configuration management system contains three tiers, it is CORBA based. This improves the openness and scalability of the system.
