Realistic Simulation of Stains on Cloth

  • Although many works have been done on fluid simulation, little attention has been paid to the staining effect on cloth. In this paper, we present a novel method for realistic simulation of stain effects on cloth, including diffusion of stain on cloth, as well as evaporation, deposition, adsorption, etc. We introduce a new model called NSEAM(Navier-Stokes equations for anisotropic media) to represent the movement of stain. To simulate the anisotropic texture of cloth, we adopt a multi-layer model. With our method, the interaction between stain and different types of cloth can be realistically simulated in real-time. Experimental results validate our simulation model.
