The Drawing Cell Object-Based CAD Info Integration in AEC Product

Product info modeling is the key factor for communicating, exchanging and sharing of design info in AEC(architecture, engineering, construction). The info in AEC product needs to have cooperative characters including identical, complete and dynamic feature. According to the specific features of AEC industry and info levels of AEC product, concepts of drawing cell (DC), granularity of DC object (DCO) and collaborative links are introduced to realize the CAD info integration, which maps the geometrical and topological constraints of product info into inner-correlation and outer-hyperlink of DCO. Tests of experimental prototype system in engineering applications shows the rationality and validity of the ideas.
