A MULTIMEDIA TELECONSULTATION SYSTEM

  • A teleconsultation system can transfer medical data to remote medical experts, so that they can complete the diagnosis together. MTCS (Multimedia TeleConsultation System) is developed in Sun Sparc, which supports powerful processing of medical images and synchronous or asynchronous cooperation between medical experts and other medical workers. Asynchronous teleconsultation allows consulting specialists and doctors not working in the same time, while synchronous teleconsultation allows two or more medical experts, who live in geographically remote location and are connected by Ethernet to exchange, analyze and process the same medical (CT or MRI) image simultaneously.
