Abstract
A method based on Delaunay triangulation and circum-circles of subdivided triangles was developed for 2D finite element adaptive mesh generation.An information field reflecting the specifics of local area is built for deciding element size according to the geometric features of the domain. The method is applied successfully to 2D adaptive mesh generation,taking into consideration geometrical features along with some mechanical features.
