Real Time Skin Deformation Method for Virtual Human in Motion

  • In this paper, we refine the general cross-sectional contour method with three measures,and based on the measures general cross-sectional contours are able to be perfectly created according to the corresponding features on different parts of human body. Then we implemented a real-time skin deformation method on the whole skin surface of human body. Secondly, we use an interpolation method to improve the visual effect of the deformation, especially on the joints with possibly great and complex rotation, such as shoulder and hip. The new method can drive arbitrary skin grid of virtual human and can achieve better deformation result in any motion state.
