Survey on Parameterization of Triangular Meshes

Aiming at low-distortion of parameterization of triangular meshes,this paper investigates the latest theoretical and practical results on authalic,conformal and isometric mappings for parameterizations in planar and spherical domains.Detailed comparisons of various algorithms on their theoretical basis,time and space complexity,applied environments and numerical implementations are presented, also the future research directions are highlighted.
