Development and Prospect of Virtual Human Skin Modeling

The status-of-the-art of virtual human skin modeling methods is reviewed.Traditional modeling methods are classified into both bi-layer and physical structure methods which are described and analyzed in terms of realisticity.Various skin modeling methods including the physical structure method are elaborated.Finally,several research directions of skin modeling methods are pointed out.
