A Macrocell Placement Algorithm Based on Mathematical Programming Technique

The problem is formulated as to find the optimal solution of a constrained nonlinear programming system.Position of cell's pins are taken into account.The orientation vector is used to describe the module orientation, so during the process we can get the position and orientation ofthe cell simultaneously.We use dual iteration approach to simplify the solution of problem.Experiment results show good performance and fast run time.
