A Directional Tracing Algorithm for Vectorizing Dot Matrix Chinese Characters

In computer graphic processing, the general methods of outputting Chinese characters are either using Chinese character font data or using vector Chinese character store, which result in inferior output quality and the increased system cost.This paper presents a new method-Directional Tracing Algorithm (DTA)for vectoring Chinese characters. This method extracts the vector from the Chinese character font data and then forms vectorized characters.
