Piping Prefabrication Management Information System for Integrated Design and Construction

Fabrication and installation of piping system is an important part of plant construction. The integration of information in piping design,fabrication and installation is not achieved in domestic projects.The paper presents a model for integrated information management in piping design and fabrication.Based on the multilevel piping data model,diverse information in design and fabrication stages, including material management,schedule management and quality control etc.are unified,forming an integrated architecture of piping layout system.AEC project contract enterprises can greatly enhance their current workflow,productivity and quality with the integrated information system.The presented approach has been implemented in applications and proved to bring benefits to AEC enterprises.
