Study on Visual Simulation of Dynamics of Mechanical Multibody System

  • Lower numbered array is used to describe the topological configuration of multibody system. Three-dimensional geometric model of each body in the system is generated by Mechanical Desktop (MDT, AutoDesk Co.). Based on computer graphics and digital video processing, AVI video compression is applied to the kinematic simulation of multibody system to realize the visualization of dynamic results. Using Object Oriented Programming (OOP), an integrated software MDAS (Multibody Dynamic Analysis and Simulation) has been developed. It can perform dynamic computing, data processing, and visual simulation of multibody system. Complex satellite with solar panels is taken as an example and the results show the validity and correctness of MDAS software.
