Abstract Model of Concurrent Product Design Process Management

Design process management is an important part in the activities of new product development．It determines whether an enterprise can occupy market quickly with better products and well-balanced performance．In the paper，we provide an abstract model of product design process management under the direction of concurrent engineering concepts through investigating product design process management of several enterprises with reference to the achievements in workflow management．For its application，we also put forward the methodology of creating multi-abstraction layers from the abstract model pertaining to the real-world′s product design process management．
