Automated Extraction of Part Information Model for CAPP

The part information description is of great importance to the reliability and quality of CAPP system. In order to overcome the low efficiency of building part information model,this paper focuses on the automated extraction technology for CAPP.The formal description of part information model is first discussed,and then,the automated extraction process and key techniques are presented,including an algorithm of feature tree creation.An example is given to illustrate the approach.
