Sweeping Solid Topology and Accurate B-Rep Evaluation Using Polyhedral Approximation

  • According to the five faceting principles of the modeling rules, i.e., the parallel sweeping, rotational sweeping, box-shaped rule, variant solid rule and curved-surface solid rule, this paper proposes an algorithm for the construction of topological relationship. A Geometric Attribute coding (GA-coding) approach for the faceted boundary and a CSG-index method are discussed. Based on the GA-coding and CSG-index, a strategy for the accurate B-Rep model calculation through a polyhedral model has been developed.
