Product Reconfiguration Model for Network Manufacturing

Product reconfiguration plays an important role in the process of product configuration. In this paper, we present a product reconfiguration model for network manufacturing. This model emphasizes the dynamic characters in the process of configuration and makes product reconfigurations by using an original method of tracking and recording the evolvement of parts and configuration models. The model can be widely used in network manufacturing. This paper also presents an algorithm, the similar-match method, on solving consistent problem of reconfiguration results in network manufacturing.
