Adaptive Regularizing and Smoothing Algorithm for Arbitrary Topological Meshes

  • Based on the refined Laplacian operator and mean curvature technique,an adaptive regularizing and smoothing mesh algorithm is put forward.With the algorithm,fair and uniform meshes are obtained by moving each vertex both in normal direction and in tangent plane simultaneously. Movement of vertices can be automatically controlled according to the specified allowable error.Practical examples are given to show the results obtained with the presented algorithm.
