Assembly Sequences Planning Based on Rules and Exploded-Views

  • After introducing a concept of local exploded-views,a method is presented on how to produce the local exploded-views along Cartesian axes using the rules of geometry interference.With the establishment of merging sequence in all directions and the constrained components of every part using merging rules,the assembly sequence is obtained by merging ordered local exploded-views.As a result, by integrating geometry-based reasoning and rule-based reasoning,the computation complexity is greatly reduced,and the assembly sequences obtained are more feasible and practical.
