Based on the research and application of CIMS integration platform, this paper proposes a system framework for the information integration between CAx and MRP II through shared PDM database. The basic data flow and the levels of information integration are also presented. Then the approach to manage and control the integrated information is discussed. In addition, some application cases are illustrated.
