Automatic Determination of Design Feature Adjustment Method According to the Desired Modification on Machining Features

Abstract
A key problem with multiple-view feature modeling is consistency maintenance of the model.The paper presents an approach to automatically adjusting the design features according to the requirements of machining process.In the approach,the design features that need to be adjusted are determined by searching the topological element constraint relation graph (TECRG) and marking out the topological elements affected by the desired modification on machining features.Moreover,the optimal adjustment method,if possible,is automatically verified according to the properties of TECRG, some implicit design intention and semantic information.After the design features have been adjusted, the machining feature model is updated accordingly,therefore the consistency is guaranteed.
