G1 CONTINUITY ALGORITHMS BETWEEN ADJACENT NURBS PATCHES

  • Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curves and surfaces are becoming increasingly widespread. This paper presents a practical G1 continuity condition between adjacent NURBS patches along common quadratic boundary curve and deduces a specific algorithms for control points and weights of NURBS patches. For making another NURBS patch and one given NURBS patch to attain G1, according to algorithms condition, we can adjust the relative control points and weights of another patch.
