G1 CONTINUITY ALGORITHMS BETWEEN ADJACENT NURBS PATCHES

Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curves and surfaces are becoming increasingly widespread. This paper presents a practical G¹ continuity condition between adjacent NURBS patches along common quadratic boundary curve and deduces a specific algorithms for control points and weights of NURBS patches. For making another NURBS patch and one given NURBS patch to attain G¹, according to algorithms condition, we can adjust the relative control points and weights of another patch.
