Simplified Fuzzy Connectedness Approach for Segmentation of Vessel Images

Vasculature is of utmost importance in planning surgical procedures and diagnoses of vessel diseases such as angioma and vessel stenosis. On the basis of Udupa’s approach, some simplification and optimization were made in the algorithms of fuzzy connected image segmentation, resulting in higher efficiency of computation without lowering the segmentation precision.
