Multivalued Surface Mesh Generation for Complicated Geological Entity

  • Multivalued surface cannot be handled by the traditional constrained Delaunay triangulation.A new approach based on divide-and-conquer method,called split-and-reconstruct is proposed.After applying the initial constrained Delaunay triangulation,criterion of positive and negative region is used to discriminate the points located inside meshes.The algorithm splits local points,and then reconstructs the topological interconnection of related points,edges and triangles.Test results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
