Abstract: In this paper, we first give a general description of the research work in the field of image deformation, then we give a feature based deformation algorithm which is used in the intelligent animation system that we are now developing. Next, we give a description of the scattered data interpolation algorithm which is used in the deformation algorithm. Finally, a detailed description of the deformation algorithm is shown.
