基于小波变换的图象分层预测差值编码
DIFFERENTIAL PULSE CODE MODULATION FOR IMAGE CODING BASED ON WAVELET TRANSFORM

摘要: 二元正交小波变换能实现图象多分辨率的塔形结构表示,相邻两层水平和垂直方向的分辨率以2(或1/2)的因子改变,上一层的每个系数对应下一层的2×2区域,相邻两层存在着较大的空域相关性,为进一步减少小波变换系数的冗余性,我们提出了图象分层预测差值编码,实验表明分层预测差值编码能从整体上大幅度地减少小波变换系数的冗余性,比图象各层系数直接编码能实现更好的压缩效果。Abstract: This paper is mainly about the study on differential pulse code modulation for image coding based on wavelet transform.Form point of view of image pyramid algorithm for the discrete wavelet,the principle of wavelet transform for image compression is explored.The result of computer simulation has shown that DPCM for image coding based on wavelet transform is better than that of reference4's.
