Abstract: Based on AutoCAD R12 software,a CAD system of plastic injection mould for box type parts is developed.A new slice element and its graphical data input method for obtaining3D complex geometric model on the basis of 2D part drawing are put forward.Database interface for exchanging and integrating data within the system is worked out.Example of generating 3D assembly of plastic injection mould as well as its drawing is given.
