Abstract: The paper provides a method of pattern’s contour recognition based on production system．Using some principles about knowledge representation and pattern classification，the paper expounds on the implementation of pattern’s contour recognition．Furthermore，it presents a method of solving matching disturbance．The conclusion and further discussion are given in the end of paper．
