Abstract: Loops are the basic elements for feature recognition．These normal loops would provide useful intermediate description for the further interpretation of drawing，e．g．2D／3D feature extraction and process planning．For every node shared by more than 2 edges，construct an edge list in the order of increasing inclination angle with respect to x-axis．This pretreatment accelerates the detection of all existing loops in the drawing．
