Abstract: A prototype of pen-based scheme design system is presented in the paper.The system can deal with continuous drawing of mult-i symbols without any interruptions or constraints.It has three characteristics.First,through the curvature-based segmentation technique,strokes are described in a uniform format so as to eliminate the difference among the drawing styles of users.Second,a parsing mechanism has been employed,which can automatically separate the successive input into meaningful units.And finally,the introduction of active error correction mechanism can increase the precision of symbol recognition.Experiment of circuit design proved the efficiency.
