Abstract: Applying nonlinear diffusion filter for linear texture image enhancement, some beneficial improvements on the diffusion coefficient of traditional diffusion filter based on texture direction have been made. The modified "semi-anistropic" diffusion filter is more adaptive to linear texture enhancement. The filter is directly given in the form of discretization so that it is easy to implement and the processing time is greatly saved.
