Abstract: Based on the planar and spherical mean value properties of harmonic mapping,two new approaches for computing the weights in parameterization for point set surfaces are proposed,which enables us to design a parameterization method to minimize intrinsic deformation. Application of the method to texture mapping for point set surfaces is presented. Experimental results show that these methods are effective to parameterize point set surfaces.
