Abstract:
In order to resolve issues induced by graphical operations of computation-intensive applications such as multimedia play in graphical terminals, we analyze the procedure of multimedia play using terminal application protocols, and propose an adaptively distributed mechanism to implement computationally intensive graphical operations by negotiating capabilities between servers and terminals, where we implemented the control and decoding procedures of multimedia play on the server and the terminal respectively. The test results show that the mechanism could dramatically reduce the server load and greatly improve the quality of multimedia play.
